We Will Never Be a Socialist Nation

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial has 58,318 names on it. These young American patriots died in America’s war against Socialism. I’m a Vietnam veteran myself. And I’m horrified to see how many young Americans today think that Socialism is a good thing. They don’t understand that, under Socialism, they would lose all the freedoms that the United States Constitution provides them and become slaves of the socialist state. And they will have betrayed all of the brave  Americans who died to preserve America as it was founded—one nation. under God, with liberty and justice for all.

The Left-wing Liberals want to transform America into a Socialist state. And most Americans are sick and tired of having these Socialists tell us what to do, what to think and what to say.  The American people haven’t been this divided since the time of the Civil War. On November 19, 1863, in his Gettysburg Address, President Lincoln spoke for the majority of Americans, when he said:

“The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.

It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” 

Ben Stein has lived long enough to see firsthand the effects of Socialism. It produces tyrannical dictatorships. And he has warned us, “We have a society in which there are an awful lot of people who have no idea that Stalin, Hitler, Mao Tse-Tung all came to power promising the same kinds of things that Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is promising. And it led to mass murder, it led to dictatorship, it led to genocide. These promises are old promises and they invariably lead to bad things.”

On February 5, 2019, President Donald Trump spoke for the majority of Americans, when he said, “America was founded on liberty and independence –not governed coercion, domination, and control. We are born free and we will stay free. Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.”
